You can add a custom slot type to a bot by selecting “Add Slot Type” from the left pane of the bot editor and choosing a regular expression or another value as the slot type. You can also use the Allow Synonyms option to map multiple words or phrases to the same slot type. This allows the bot to understand that when you say NYC, you mean New York City. You can then select the synonyms from the drop-down menu to show which synonyms the bot will recognize as matching the slot type. You can also edit or delete a slot type by hovering over the name in the bot editor and clicking Edit. Alternatively, you can click the X to remove the slot type from your bot’s list of available tokens. You can only have one slot type at a time. If you want to create another, you’ll need to delete the existing one before adding a new one.
